FCSE German Exam Results

Subject to verification ALL Year 9 pupils entered for the FCSE German examination have passed! 

Results:

Pass - 22
Merit - 56
Distinction - 37

Year 9 German

Year 9 pupils have all worked hard to finish their final FCSE German Assessments and we are expecting another year of 100% Pass rates. Well done year 9!

GCSE German

Mrs Bishop's GSCE German group are relieved to have sent off their Controlled Assessments in Speaking and Writing and are now concentrating hard in the build up to their final Reading & Listening exams on 18th & 27th June.

Important dates for MFL in May

1. Controlled Assessments in Speaking and Writing will be completed by 15th May
2. The Listening exam will take place on Monday 18th June
3. The Reading exam will be one of the last exams on Wednesday 27th June

FCSE Update

Year 9 pupils are now well underway with their final FCSE German unit which will be completed by the 18th May. So far there are only 9 pupils across the whole year group who have not yet achieved a Pass or higher and we are confidently expecting another 100% pass rate in this exam. Keep up the hard work year 9!

National Linguatrivia Competition

On 20th March, all Year 7 pupils took part in the National Linguatrivia Competition. They had 30 minutes to answer 50 multiple choice questions in test conditions.

Across the country 5,281 Year 7 pupils took part in this competition.  Unfortunately, we didn’t win any of the top prizes but all pupils who took part will receive a certificate, badge, key ring and a French vocabulary wheel. Well done to all those SHS pupils who took part!
